FAQ

What is this event?

GitHub Graduation is an online graduation ceremony to celebrate recent (and planned) graduates of the Class of 2021. Join us in walking the stage with your global community. We'll be hearing from special guests, giving out exclusive swag, and highlighting student stories and projects from around the world.

Who can attend?

Everyone is welcome to join the ceremony and support our graduates walking the stage by visiting the GitHub Education Twitch Channel. The live stream will be public and recorded if you can’t make the kickoff. Students planning to graduate between January 1, 2022 and December 31, 2022 can apply to join the Class of 2022 and receive custom swag from GitHub in the mail.

Why an online graduation?

Because we want to celebrate you and the massive accomplishments students have achieved through each of their academic journeys. We will host the event online to keep our community safe and distanced during this time.

I’m graduating in 2021. How can I join?
